What we do
The Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising organization
which allows donors to make tax deductible contributions to specific beneficiaries. The Charitable Foundation was formed as an offshoot of W.O.W. to compliment and expand the impact W.O.W. makes in our community. The alliance created between W.O.W. and The Charitable Foundation allows both organizations to operate independently and broaden their reach and deepen the positive impact to the Aiken County Community.
The mission of the foundation is to pledge our resources to organizations that create life-changing opportunities for the residents of Aiken County, South Carolina. The Foundation will raise funds separately through annual giving programs such as the Circle of Giving and year-round fundraising initiatives. Recently, many founding members as well as invited guests, celebrated our very significant $20,000 donation to Aiken Senior Life Services. The Executive Board also is excited to announce the recipients for the 2022 – 2023 fiscal year donation – Aiken County Habitat for Humanity Women Build Program and The BackPack Program of Golden Harvest Food Bank.

During the year, please remember The Charitable Foundation of Women of Woodside in your annual giving plans.
• Circle of Giving – an annual donation of $1,000 or more, made before the end of 2023. This donation is fully tax-deductible.
• Honor the Life or Memory of a Loved One with your donation. We cherish life’s precious moments together; that’s why losing a loved one can be so diffcult. A letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the family and or friends.
• Plans for your Required Minimum Distribution this year? Consider directing it to the Foundation. You will be repaid for your generosity in immeasurable dividends.
• The Charitable Foundation of Women of Woodside now can be an option in your estate planning. For more information, contact a member of the Executive Board for details.
